Classes start tomorrow

Both graduate school and job starts tomorrow.  No crafting in the past few days.  I did not sleep last night so I should have gone to the craft room and made a few cards.  I have a lot of prep still to do for both classes.  Crazy busy time! 

Busy day today

I had a busy day today with church and then graduation at SCC.  It was kinda cool coming in as a teacher and having great seats to watch.  Thank goodness it was a quick ceremony because it was hot in the church and we were packed in like sardines.  I have not crafted this weekend but I hope to make some crafts this week.  I had a comment left on my blog which was exciting.  Classes for both my job and graduate school start this week.  Just 6 more months til my graduation.  Yeah! 

Friday the 13th

Had a great time today at the welcome center at I 85 NC.  Lyc served waterrmelon again today like yesterday (yesterday we were at I 95 NC welcome center).  Driving both days almost to VA was long and I did get sun burned but we really did have a great time.  Phil and I went to Oasis and had a fabulous meal tonight as well.

Had a great day today.  I just bought another cricut cart. on ebay.  Lyc and I ate at a great restaurant in St. Pauls today and we will be off to Henderson for Watermelon Association stuff.  Having a blast so far this summer.  I plan to make a card for Mrs Bunch tonight to give to her on Friday.

Oh well, it was fun anyway.  Now that I only have one class this semester hopefully I will be able to keep up the crafting and the blogging.

I have had a blast with this competition.

This card has the pink, black and green.

This is my kid's card.  I loved the cat and I added crystals for the eyes.  The green card base is a great color.

I had to make the card with the doggy relaxing.  I have three chihuahuas that know all about relaxing and sleeping all day and night.  They chill me out too.  Dogs are great for the blood pressure.  I started using craft buttons recently.  Kinda cool.

Scrapbooking weekend continues until Monday.

I have had a terrific time making cards, pages and I even made a tub for my husband.  Wait until you see it.  My husband is a fireman and he wanted me to make a fireman themed container to hold the plunger at the fire station.  I laughed while I was making it.  I wanted to put little chains from fire hydrant to fire hydrant but he said it would not be sanitary.  Well, here are my things so far for Mypinkstamper.com.

This is my boy card.  I plan to ssend it to my nephew for his birthday

This card I made with the ribbon I had worn at pinning for my fellow faculty member.  I did not have a ribbon cart.  I used the serenade cart for the butterfly.  I am not sure why it is not as bright in the picture.  The antenas are made with black wire coiled.  I plan to write a little note to my co-worker with words of hope and encouragement.  She is having a tough time with her Chemo. (The card is turned on it side as well.)

Now my cards are turned and I am not sure how to fix them.  Is there a trick to cutting letters out of paper?  I have to redo a lot of cuts because the paper rips and bunches up with the cut.  My blade should not be dull yet.  If anyone reads this and knows the answer please post.  Thanks  :)

This is my husbands tub.  LOL

This is one of my favorite pages I made.  I love the green and silver.  I cut the tag with a butterfly to match the butterflies in silver.

I have two family pictures of the three of us laughing.  I did not want to put the pictures on the page yet.  It was from last summer.  We were outside playing with the farm animals.  The goats were so excited they kept fainting.

Oh No, This picture is turned as well.  I am not sure why this is happening.  I must admit I love this card.  The card paper reminds me of a beach chair.  Well, I will see is I can fix the pictures so they are correct.  I will also post the other entries for mypinkstamer.com.

Where have I been

Just to let you know I did not fall off the face of the earth.  I have been studying.  I have also been doing some  crafting.

I made these earrings and the card to display them on. 

I have really been on an earring kick lately.  I made a lot of gifts for my co-workers.  They loved them.

I made this wreath for the secretary.  She loves purple.

I made this to hang on my door at work.

I made an Easter wreath for myself.  I have been having a blast making these.  I have brought a ton of different colors.

Well this is what I have been up too since my last blog.  I also finished my semester at ECU.  I have only one class this summer, three in the fall and then I graduate in December.  I start my PhD fall 2012.

Blog Time

I have not felt well the past week and I believe I slept all of Sunday away.  I'm finally feeling some better so I thought I better blog.  I have changed my St. Patrick's day wreath and I like it a lot better.  I'll have to take a picture of it.  I haven't made any cards but I am working on a necklace and earrings for my daughter.  They will match a dress for the pageant this weekend.  I have been doing a lot of my school work to teach but not for my school.  I turned in a huge paper that I am very proud of but I still need to work on my thread discussion for this week.  I have 2 articles to read tonight so I can finish my work and then off to sleep.  Well, I better get to my school work.  :)

Look what i've been up too.

Okay,  I haven't posted in a while but I am so excited about some of the new things I created.  I changed my Valentine wreath to a St. Patrick's wreath.

I bought a cuttle bug and just love it.  I made a cool card for the fall.

I made a wreath to raffle off to help a coworker just diagnosed with breast caner.  My prayers and support are with her.

I also made thesse earrings with acrylic and crystals.

How do you like my new card?  The different shades of green are off in the picture but it is still cute.  I think I will round the corners of the card.

wreath is finished

I finished my wreath with the flowers and it is hanging on my door at work.  I love making crafts.  I need to make something for my daughter for Valentine's Day.

I am so excited.  I had a great day off but the weather was cool and raining.  The high was 38 degrees.  Yuck.  But I accomplished a lot of stuff.  I dropped the PTO books off at the high school, drove into town and went craft shopping.  I did not buy too much.  I bought the ATG gun that I wanted.  Lyc came home and I cleaned up the house.  Well not all of it but I did quite a bit.  The kitchen looks pretty good too.  DIshes are being washed, a load of laundry in the washer and I am going to finish cleaning the beadroom before I go to bed.  I have to do school work tomorrow but I am sure it will be another great day.  Here is a picture of my new ATG gun and the wreath I made.  The wreath is not done yet.  I still want to put flowers on it but without making it that I can't change the fabric in the wreath itself.  Still waiting to see if I won the cricut bug.

Two new cards I did yesterday.  They seem to lack something, maybe a stamped quote or embellishments.  I did not like that the serenade cartridge showed pictures of birds with swirls but I could not get the machine to cut the swirls in the layer.  I had to make a swirl and glue it to the bird to get the effect I wanted.  I am off to sleep now then up early and traveling to the craft stores tomorrow.  I can't wait.

I am trying to win the stuffed baby cricut bug from my pink stamper.  It is so cute. 

New cards

I am excited because I have made two new cards and I can tell I am getting better with my style.  These cards are for my husband, his birthday and Valentine's Day.

New project

I have been slack in my blogging but I just made a new card and earrings so here is goes.  The earrings are pretty but I really need some help with making cards.  I would love to have someone come to the house and show me all the neat things I can do with the cricut.  I also have to stop buying new cartridges from ebay.

I am excited.  I am not sure how to get the picture on my blog yet but here goes............  Yeah!  It took me a while but I did it.  SO here is my first card and a pair of pearl and crystal earrings I made.  I love the sterling silver earrings but not the card so much.  Since I am just starting to make cards, I guess it is not too bad.  I really had fun making it.  I am giving these to a friend as a Thank You.  You couldn't guess that could you.  LOL!

Tearful today

I went to a viewing of a former student's father and cried.  I drove home from that and cried thinking of how proud I am of my daughter.  Then to top it off I cried when I watched "Julie to Julia."  How pathetic is that.  I'm not really sad just "mushy" today.  I had a great day at work and I feel great.  Call me crazy. ;) 

I have to make a Thank you card tonight.  I'll try to post a picture of the earrings I made yesterday along with the card tonight.

Ice on top of snow: Yuck

This is day 2 of bad weather days and school was cancelled again.  It is still up in the air about school tomorrow but I bet it will be a 2 hour delay.  At least I hope so.  I have been catching up on school work but I want to make earrings tonight.  I got my hair cut short and a blonde streak in it again.  Love it.

Winter weather

Burrrrrr!   It's cold out there.  I really did not get any school work done this weekend like I should have but I did go to a bead show and had a blast.  WOOOHOOO!  I was over whelmed by all the stuff.  I made a few good buys and I can't wait to finish the projects and post the pictures.  I have to work on both my class work and my teaching work before I do fun projects.  Till later.  :)

Hi, I am back again.  Today is Friday 1/7/11 and I am off for the weekend.  I have a lot of work to do to get ready for teaching my modules but it is going great so far.  I was able to use my circut to make pages for Lyc's book.  I am starting to get the hang of this cutting thing. 

Day One 1/4/11

This is amazing.  I have always wanted to Blog but I did not know how to start.  Having visited "My Pink Stamper" site it gave me the idea that, I too, can figure how to blog.  I have to get a good camera now since mine broke and be able to add videos and pictures to this blog.  This is totally cool.
